Four Months

I can't believe 4 months is already here!  In fact, today he is 4 months and 1.5 weeks!  Time flies!  Every day I tell him that he is too cute and too big.  I have a feeling this is going to continue to be said daily. lol We are throughly enjoying watching his personality bloom and watch him learn new things.  He has been playing with his tongue and lips a lot.  We had a rough day this week and he seemed relieved when I massaged his gums.  Are there teeth in our near future?   Auntie Em said cousin Walter had days like that for awhile before anything ever showed.  We will see.

He decided to give us a big scare and wait to go potty (number two) for 12 days (14 days is when it becomes serious and dangerous.)  Prayer and a visit to the chiropractor finally released it.  We are hoping this habit doesn't continue.  Our doctor said to introduce prune juice or baby food with prunes in it to his diet.  I told Aaron it would be prune juice.  I am not ready to see my baby eat from a spoon like a big boy! :-(   :-)

I am so excited for spring to start and show him the cherry blossoms, grass, flowers, bugs, the beach!  And lots of other fun things to do out doors! Pictures below!

P.S. He has been sooo close to rolling from his back to his tummy.  He would hang out on his side and swing his legs around.  Finally, he successfully accomplished this last night, and got stuck on his belly.  It isn't a daily thing yet, but I have a feeling it will be soon!

He loves this toy and often spins around in circles.  I will lay him in one direction and I'll come back to find him in a totally different spot.  Silly boy.

Psalm 8:2
"You have taught children and nursing infants to give you praise. They silence your enemies who were seeking revenge."

The first part of this verse struck me the other day.  Even as a little child Malachi gives God glory.  By his smile and gurgling laughs, his round cheeks, his long lashes, his sweet smell, his delicate fingers and toes, his energetic legs, the weight of his precious body resting on mine, through his intricate blue eyes he proclaims God's Kingdom.  Through the details of God's creation we grow closer to our King and we see His glory.  I am so thankful I get to be Malachi's mother and discover, in awe, all that God has planted into this one child (and to think there are millions on earth!  Each uniquely singing His praises through their beauty and innocence.)  What a gift to watch him grow, explore the world, and discover our Savior!
