After a loooong, late and very hard (especially on mommy because it was during my first trimester) cherry harvest we decided to go on a family vacation. We went camping in the U.P. We stayed at Tahquamenon Falls camp ground.
At our site we could hear the lower falls. It also backed up to the hiking trail to the falls, so it was a good spot. Camping with a toddler (especially when teething) was a challenge. We also got a lot of rain while there. Needless to say we were exhausted and were thankful for our wonderful home when we returned. However, I am so glad we went. All in all we enjoyed ourselves.
We saw both falls, hiked, went to White Fish Point and went to the Ship Wreck Museum, went to White Fish Bay, went to the river and fished a few times, ate at the Tahquamenon Brewery and enjoyed the many camp fires. On the way home while we were crossing the bridge there was an antique tractor parade! How perfect! There was over 1000 participants. Daddy and Malachi loved it. After we crossed the bridge we stopped and ate delicious pasties and headed home.
