Malachi has been changing rapidly. I think he learns a new word every day (if not more.) He is getting more independent and doesn't like to be told what he can and can't do. Which means mommy and daddy are discipling (er learning to discipline rather.)
Today he learned how gravity works by reaching through the baby gate to the recycle bin on the stairs...and threw each item down. He loves the outdoors and sure hates to come back inside. We are so ready to play in our yard! Go away snow! We bought some snow boots for next year, but he has been wearing them lately to play outside. Its pretty funny to watch him try and walk. Its more of a clomp and stumble. Poor guy. We are ready to wear crocs or bare feet!
Some of his latest words are "off." Off can mean, on, up and down. He has been saying "light" for awhile now, but when he wants something to be turned on he says "light." (Because most electronic things have a light when on.) We cannot pass a light switch without turning it "off." "Moo-mee" is one of his favorite things (smoothie.) He is very much at the age where I can't eat a crumb without him noticing. :0) Guess I will have to safe my treats until he is bed ;) The most adorable, is "baby." Which he has said for quite some time, but now he calls his little teady bear that. So precious. He is getting quite attached to it. When we say, "awww." He will cuddle it close and smile. <3
Aunt Amy cut his hair after FL. There was no more humidity to create tight curls all over his head :( Its still curly, but not as much. I told her to cut the top and sides, but no curls! Aaron keeps teasing and says it looks like a mullet :(
Also he knows when there is an engine sound. If there is a car, train, plane, tractor, etc. He says "broom, broom." And Points. Often times he notices it before me. He is busy, busy, busy and growing way too fast!!! Whenever in public he waves and smiles at everyone! I go through the grocery store seeing everyone smile and wave at us. Its a unique experience. (I am used to people ignoring me and rushing past.) If I was to let him down to roam...well he'd be off in a flash. He has no fear! Anyway, I could keep going, but I'll stop. Here are some recent photos below. :)
