Dashing through the snow..sorta

Thankfully my boy loves to be outside and play as much as I do!  We have had fun adventures in the snow, sledding with cousins, we went on Christmas light tour, went on walks, made snowmen, gone cross country skiing and even helped daddy snow blow in the tractor! 

A few weeks before Christmas we went to cousin Irene's house, bundled up and walked down to her neighbors.  They have the most Christmas lights in world, I swear!  The kids enjoyed it, but it was pretty chilly out!!

Happy Birthday

We were in GR for the annual agriculture Expo during December, so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and throw Malachi a birthday party while there.  Family and friends in GR don't get to see him enough, so we had a bigger celebration.  On his actual birthday we had an intimate celebration with immediate family (photos to come.)

The birthday boy would  have slept all evening and missed his party if it was up to him! Ha! He finally woke up around 6 (the party started at 5:30) and decided to join the fun.  The theme was barnyard/cowboy.  He seemed to have no interest in the cake or presents, but couldn't get enough of great grandma Deal's crackers and dip!  :)  Later in the evening, after the crowd got a bit smaller he got his second wind and gave us a show being his usual goof ball self.  It was a good night and he looked adorable in his cowboy get up.
