Spring

It was tough stuff coming home to snow and cold after Florida.  I definitely bummed around a couple days.  However, we got back in the groove of things and are happy to be home and have snow melting!
Malachi has been changing rapidly.  I think he learns a new word every day (if not more.)  He is getting more independent and doesn't like to be told what he can and can't do.  Which means mommy and daddy are discipling (er learning to discipline rather.)
Today he learned how gravity works by reaching through the baby gate to the recycle bin on the stairs...and threw each item down.  He loves the outdoors and sure hates to come back inside. We are so ready to play in our yard!  Go away snow!  We bought some snow boots for next year, but he has been wearing them lately to play outside.  Its pretty funny to watch him try and walk.  Its more of a clomp and stumble.  Poor guy.  We are ready to wear crocs or bare feet!
Some of his latest words are "off."  Off can mean, on, up and down.  He has been saying "light" for awhile now, but when he wants something to be turned on he says "light."  (Because most electronic things have a light when on.)  We cannot pass a light switch without turning it "off."  "Moo-mee" is one of his favorite things (smoothie.)  He is very much at the age where I can't eat a crumb without him noticing.  :0)  Guess I will have to safe my treats until he is bed ;) The most adorable, is "baby."  Which he has said for quite some time, but now he calls his little teady bear that.  So precious.  He is getting quite attached to it.  When we say, "awww."  He will cuddle it close and smile.  <3
Aunt Amy cut his hair after FL.  There was no more humidity to create tight curls all over his head :(  Its still curly, but not as much. I told her to cut the top and sides, but no curls!  Aaron keeps teasing and says it looks like a mullet :(
Also he knows when there is an engine sound.  If there is a car, train, plane, tractor, etc.  He says "broom, broom." And Points.  Often times he notices it before me. He is busy, busy, busy and growing way too fast!!!  Whenever in public he waves and smiles at everyone!  I go through the grocery store seeing everyone smile and wave at us.  Its a unique experience.  (I am used to people ignoring me and rushing past.)  If I was to let him down to roam...well he'd be off in a flash.  He has no fear!  Anyway, I could keep going, but I'll stop.  Here are some recent photos below. :)

Thank u aunt Amy!

Florida Fun!

We were so ready to go to Florida!  We picked a good year to go!!  After a long and freezing winter we needed the break.  We rented a house in Fort Pierce with the Silers.  We were about 20 minutes away from Nana and Papa (who rented a house by the ocean for the month of March.)  Em and AJ, and Rach and Irene were visiting Nana and Papa the same time we were there. So we got to visit them and go to the ocean. :)

Malachi loved playing outdoors with little clothes on.  I enjoyed the sun bathing!  That said, Malachi did NOT enjoy the beach :(  I was super bummed.  The wind, sand and big waves were too much.  Luckily Nana and Papa watched him for an afternoon so I could enjoy laying on the beach and playing in the waves.  Malachi and I both got the stomach bug before we left and poor Aaron got while there.  Of coarse the day he was sick was the best for surfing so he didn't get to go :(  He did enjoy the hot tub very much.  :)  It was great to visit with the Silers at well.

Over all it was a great trip!  Wish we could go every year!!

On the way to the airport!  Thanks Grandma Deal for the ride!

Here we go!  Getting ready to board.

                                                     He was an excellent traveler!

By the end he was getting antsy, but the flight attendant gave us juice with a straw and lid so he was entertained!

Waiting to be picked up by the Silers.  They got up at 3am in order to leave Virgina and be at the airport on time to get us!  Thank you so much guys!  (we quickly switched to sandals once we landed.)

The last part of our journey..headed to our house (about 2 hours from Orlando)

Cousin Tigist!!  She was a trooper and sat in the very back with all the luggage

Reunited after 6 months!

We had to jump in the pool for the first thing when we got there!

Hi!

Papa!!  We hadn't see him for weeks!

Nana and Papa came over and brought us boiled dinner in honor of St. Patty's day!  Yummy!

The next morning I awoke to the moon setting on west side and the sunrise to the east.  So beautiful

"Oh my!  Where is the hot tub!?"

We had a fish fountain and Malachi loved it and constantly asked for daddy to turn it on :)

I think Malachi enjoyed the hot tub better then the pool (spoiled at 15 months!) lol
